SPS photoperiod

I have ben very happy with my SPS color until now. all my parameters are great and my lighting is plenty adequate. I'm hoping that the main issue is the lighting photoperiod. my t5's are on from 10 until 10 and my MH was on for 8 hour but i have recently dropped it to 7. im debating on going down to 6 but am skeptical.

sorry for the drawn out response. if i should drop more time off my MH should i do it slowly....15 minutes off per week until i reach the desired time?

I keep my T-5's on from 11-6pm and my MH 12-5pm.... is my photoperiod too low? Considering you keep yours on more?

Well my t5s run from 10 until 10. The my halide comes on at 12:30 and goes off at 730.

I think anywhere from 7-10 is prime lighting time, but I'm sure if you stay on top of your bulb replacment longer is ok. The ocean gets light for a decent amount of time.

Your problem might not be light related. What happen to your SPS recently?

I run my halides from 9 to 6 and works great for me.
