SPS preferred temp range

What is a preferred temp range of an SPS tank. Assume total control through heating and chilling. Not asking what is your tank temp as much as what would you want it to be? Also, how much fluctuation is OK, 1-2 degrees?

Ideal? whatever temp the individual coral in your tank was use too from where it was taken from. This probably ranges from species to species (collection places/depths vary). As little fluctuation as possible, I have never had a problem with 1 dagree of flux. I keep mine at 79 summer 78 winter. I could not tell you if this is ideal, people have been successful from mid-seventies up to low-mid eighties.

Does anyone feel temp plays a role in coloration. Might a coral show a different color at one end of the spectrum vs another? Sort of like, purple in the 80s, but blue in the 70s.
