squamosa pics(incredible color change)

Here is a pic of my squamosa when I first purchased it 2 years ago. It's a wild caught clam from vietnam.

Here is a pic I took yesterday. Besides the rapid growth, I can't believe how much this clams colors have changed. It has a brown mantle with gold specks through out and a green rim. The lighting that I keep it under is (2) 250w 6500k Iwasakis, (1) 110w actinic white and (1) 110w actinic.

I got it at about 4.5" and it's up to 6.5" right now. It looks really cool. I haven't seen any squamosas that look like this one. Have you seen any with this color pattern?

Yes, but mostly in larger Tridacna Squamosa not smaller ones.

wow interesting color change, i liked the way it really looked initially with the really distinct green stripe.
