I so excited about this one. I just want to get these temps down as soon as possible. They went up to 84 yesturday from running the lamps/fans for 10 hours. Had the moon lamps on during the night, and dropped back down to 80.

I have the Iceprobe comming soon, until then you have any suggestions?

Can you freeze RO/DI and put a chunk into the rear sump? Can I do that?? Until the Iceprobe shows up????

Very nice piece. I would try a chunck of ice in your sump and see if it drops down.

Do you have the stock canopy? I left the top access door open, on hotter days I propped the whole hood up a couple of inches with some peices of wood.
I have the sunpod now.


Check your heater too. I had the same problem and found it was a heater problem. Once I got that fixed and left the hood open it never got over 80.

Keep me updated on the BTA, I am debating getting one for mine. It very nice!

Set up a small clip on fan to blow across either the tank or sump. I was surprised how much this can reduce tank temps.
