Stand support help.

I got a very nice looking stand but the support for the bottom of the glass aquarium only supports the ends of the tank. The length of the tank is not supported. I did fill the tank up with no problems but quickly emptied the tank due to fear of the tank or stand giving away. Can I just put down some kind of plywood so the stand sits on that? Will the plywood actually support the weight of the tank or will it bow? The tank is 90 gallons. Thanks for the help!

If the tank has a plastic brace around the bottom it usually doesnt require anything in the middle. Only the trim needs to be touching the stand, best to look up what your manufacture recommends.

The trim is not supported on length of the tank by the stand, thanks for the clarity, I was having a hard time trying to explain it. If I cant put some kind of support for all of the trim I will have to give this stand up. And I don't want to because it's a nice stand

The first pic shows the back side of the stand. The wood support on the back, before it steps down does not support any weight, I can slide paper through it when the tank sits on it. The second pic shows that the support just stops. The third pic shows the front corner. Support completely stops at the corner. There is a middle support but I can slide the plastic paper under it with an empty tank. The other side is the same. So the only real support is just at the ends.

Why would a stand be made like this? It's like they spent the time making it look nice and didn't spend any time on support...

It looks pretty much the same as my aqueon stand for my 58. Not that that is saying much. I was surprised at how little support it has. The middle brace across my stand dosen't touch the tank either.

That's insane. I looked on the web and everyone says for that size tank all of the tank should be supported. Why would a stand only support the ends?
