Stand support help.

you could just measure the gap/hight difference along that front board and make 2 pieces to make it level, then a piece to go along the back for a little bit of support. like this... (you will have to forgive the quick photoshop job, lol)

Wow! First I must thank you for taking the time to help me with my problem. Second that would give it more support. I really need to think about what I want to do. Maybe I'll go to some Lfs and look at their stands. Maybe it's a common way of making stands.

That stand really does look like it's had some better days

I have a new marineland stand 48"x18 deep I can sell ya. I'm gonna just build one similar but taller and with more support for the tank rim. All of these stands look weak as far as supporting the tank but they hold well enough.

It just needs cleaning. The crazy thing is I did go by exotic and looked at the aqueon (May have spelled that wrong) stands and it looks to me that the the builders are crazy!! The tank sits on an outer rim that is supported on the inside with wood glue and staples!!! How in the world do these tanks not just fall down with all that weight being held up with glue and staples?!!! Nelson, the owner, said they have never had any problems and they even come with a limited lifetime warranty. I'm not a engineer but is it me or is this crazy!!!

I want to thank everyone for their replies but it comes down to can I live with the stand and I can not. I believe I will try to go new and just save. Thanks again.
