Just got home from a week trip to central Exuma. Pretty solid shots for a $200 Olympus camera.

Thanks everyone

Central Exuma is by far the best spot I have found in the Bahamas. A large majority of it is closed to fishing and collecting (Exuma Land And Sea Park). No tourists or cruise ships, it's just awesome.

According to the locals, the pigs have been placed on this particular Cay as watchdogs. They claim to have a nice reefer crop growing.

We will be going back soon to scout out a small piece of property for the future.

Great shots--razor sharp for a cheap camera--some of the best I've seen...seems like most of the pics are from shallow water and plenty of light and that helps--were you snorkeling or scuba? Looks like pics I have from Riviera maya...only way sharper...

Can you recommend a place to stay, I am finding limited information on the net. I like out of the way places, this looks like a good one.

All pics were taken with snorkel from the surface. The camera will only go down a few feet then take on water. The bahamas are generally shallow 5 -30ft. so snorkeling/freediving is all you really need.

Places to stay and logistics are bit complicated because it's not a tourist destination. Most people get there by private plane or yacht. We flew in and stayed at the Staniel Cay Yacht Club. They have around 8 small cottages and each comes with a 13ft. Boston Whaler, 3 meals a day, snorkel gear, and a bike. You can fly from Ft. Lauderdale on Watermakers Air and/or from Nassau on Flamingo Air.

Great pics. Awesome close up of queen angel. That puddingwife your wife caught is a beauty. I always wondered why they never made their way into aquariums. I love messing with these guys when diving. Starting flipping over rocks on the bottom and these guys will let you pet them while they devour the crabs, brittle stars, bristle worms, etc that are under the rock.
