Star polyp help please.

Hey guys I think I have a problem with a star polyp that I bough yesterday…..It has not opened at all. It was nice an open at the store so I can’t think of what is wrong with it. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do?

It has only been a day. Wait a week or two and it should be beautiful.

thanks I have never had any of my corals do this...they were all open within the first few hours of being in my tank.

GSPs will do this-- sometimes for weeks at a time. As long as it's not melting away or being overrun with algae, just wait. It WILL eventually open.

Thanks it is still closed........ I'll just wait it out and keep praying that it opens....it looked so nice at the store.... I hope it comes back...Thanks guys

Just takes time for them to acclimate. Sometimes if I tick mine off enough it will take a couple days to open again in my tank. Newly aquired gsp acclimating to the tank can take much longer.

I found putting it in a moderate to high flow area helps mine stay open longer.

thank I just moved him to the bottom of the tank. Hope this helps.he was at the bottom at the store so I hope he opens up now.
