Does anyone have any pictures of some tanks where starboard is used on the bottom? I can't seem to find many.

+1 starboard looks just like bb, except white

I'm planning a tank and I'm gonna put pieces of sb under my rocks, and sand around the rest of the bottom. I think it'll be easier to keep clean that way but my wrasse will still have a place to sleep and I like how sand looks.

I've seen people put a small thing of tupperware with sand in it hidden in the rocks for wrasses. I may do this if I decide I do want a wrasse, but becaus my tank is viewable from both sides, it would be kind of an eyesore and hard to hide.

A buddy of mine built a sandbox for his wrasse that looked decent.
He cemented liverock in a circle, like a fire-ring when you go camping kinda, and in the middle was a tupperware or glass dish that had sand inside. So he could take out the dish if needed and the rocks came a little higher than the sand so it didn't blow out and just looked like a ring of rock with sand in it.
I like how the sand looks too, and I don't mind vacuuming it as long as it's easy to reach.

Now, I like that idea!
Vacuuming sand is not so bad, but I've pulled enough sand out of tanks being torn down and I see how nasty it gets. I also maintain a bare bottom tank at the shop I work in and I see how much detritus builds up in just a week, so that's mainly what made me decide on a bare bottom for my new build.
I'm also planning on having GSP grow on the bottom glass, which I enjoy the look of.

That's weird, it worked yesterday. Must be a timeout function of search. Up on the menu board under the search tab I put in Bare Bottom. The link was to the results. Try it as there are a ton of threads going way back with lots of pictures.

Thanks! I'll dig through some and find some photos. I've founds several threads, but seem to be more text debating sand vs. bare bottom than pictures.
