Starfish ID

Found a couple of these in my tank today and a little worried. Anyone have an ID on this little fella?

It's an Asterina star. Most are completely harmless, but some people have reported some feeding on corals. That's rare, but keep an eye on them.

They do multiply rather quickly! I had hundreds in my system. they never bothered my corals, but I had toooo many. I wanted a Harlequin shrimp any way so I got one. He soon cleaned the tank of the stars.....now I hvae to buy a starfish every month to feed him!

Is there anything else that will eat those starfish????

These stars for the most part feed on biofilms. Their population may be correlated to how much you are feeding the tank, so that is the first place I would start in terms of controlling them.
