starfish identification?

Does anyone have an idea of what species this star fish is ? It was labled as a sand linkia but I can't seem to find any photos of a similar looking starfish online.

Thanks for any info you can provide

Definitely isn't a sand sifter.

However I'm not confident on what exactly it is.. it lacks the flat body and brittle sided arms of sandsifters, and it's obviously not knobbed like protoreasters.. Fromia is a little tougher to describe appearence wise, but I'm confident it isn't that.. if you could get a side image (emphasizing how rounded/flat the star is) I could tell if it is something like fromia. I don't believe it's linckia as linckia isn't as stubby on the arms, but it's still possible.

I'm honestly not sure.

Thanks for replying. Currently the star fish is hidden. Once I see it I will try to get some more pictures up here. I appriciate the help.

I don't believe it's Linckia multiflora. Usually I don't consider arm length and coloring as a means of identifaction (lighting and regeneration can mess those two up) but i'm fairly confident that it's arm length is too stubby, and it's too "pale" in color to be a L. multiflora.

One thing I DO notice in that second photo is a rougher texture, which significantly narrows down what it is not.
