starfish tube feet

Watching my thorny star strolling around my aquarium, I noticed that on the top of the starfish are thousends of tiny transparent leg looking things coming out like playdough hair.
I know they have feet on the bottom, but what are these?

They could be part of the dermal brachiae (skin pores) where the starfish breathe through.
