They can be found in either.

Brittle are everywhere. I see them in the sand rocks coral. My serpents like to hang out in the rock crevices when its feeding time they come out and snag and eat some shrimp.

i wondering. if i buy 50lbs of live sand from richard if i'll get stars in my sand.

yes. And always make sure to search the plastic bag i found like a dozen of them there. Plus bristle worms and other things.
