stars that are reef safe?

I think the easiest to care for are the serpent stars. Others are reef safe, but are hard to keep long term I think. The common serpent stars are dull colors, but there are some that are red, black adn white ect.
Brittle Stars are also reef safe but will probably catch and eat sleeping/dying fish.
Sand-sifting stars are reef safe, not sure if you'd consider them colorful since they are a dullish tan. but they are amazing to watch.

there are many reef safe fromia species, but they are hard to take care of because not much information is available on what they eat. They are some of the most beautiful to have though.
Feather and basket stars are also reef safe but extremely difficult to care for since they need alot of special food.

For about 2 months now. The first 4 days it just stayed put where it entered the tank. Since then I don't think it has stopped moving. It seems to be doing great, but am keeping my eye on it to make sure it is doing ok and not attacking anything.

The benchmark for success with sea stars is about 18 months, which is about the amount of time it can take them to starve.

Thanks for the replies, been reeding up on stars as I did NOT realize so many were reef safe. (well, at least they are advertised as such) We like Fromia milleporella
We will probably wait a few more months as out tank is only around 10 months old even though we have 100lb of LS and 125lbs of LR.
DNickell - please elaborate on what stars you have had "bad luck" with and which snails.
I've also read where "spot" feeding is acceptable, anyone do this?
