Starting a nano

I am probably going to start a nano reef soon. I thought I would post here to get some opinions. I am looking at a deluxe 24 gallon Aquapod. I am planning to add a Maxi Jet 900 for flow, but are there any other things I should consider before I get it? The only tank I have ever had is my 75 gallon and I assume the nano will be a whole new world.

I have noticed most people use nano cube rather than aquapods, is there a reason for that or is it just a preference. They are roughly the same cost so I would rather get the better one.

Also, will the "sapphire" skimmer (I have yet to find it for sale so frankly I don't know what it is) in the chamber of an aquapod? I saw where it fits a nano cube

The nano cube glass is too thin and cracks if you do get a nano cube get the new moddle it will put you back almost $600 but has skimmer and i think a sump or maybe thats the new red sea .

Just dont get the old nano cube.

No fish as of yet but that is changing later on today...
I am enjoying this tank and glad I made the leap...
