hey guys, just went to the steinhart aquarium today. it's really nice! glad to hear that bar is going to donate frags to their coral propagation efforts. unfortunately they wouldn't let my hubby & i inside their coral prop room but we were able to get some pics of the room. dang their reactors are huge! :eek2:

and that 20,000 gallon reef tank is cool. love all the tangs. couldn't get any good pics of any of them but the sailfin. i wanted to get a pic of the achilles but it wouldn't sit still long enough.

Is this at the howard street location? The new one isn't open yet is it? You should see how much plastic pipe there is in the ground there for the rsw and icw....

You wouldn't want to go into the Prop room now, They gave me a tour since I was talking about setting up the donations and with those 1000 watt lights in there it was like 90 degrees in the room while out was like 70....god only know how warm its now with the little heat wave going on.

But its a nice size room with lots of room for growing out coral. They have more of the stuff in the basement as well.

Not normally, but we were having a meeting about of club donations. I also setup I tour of the basement behind the scenes back in March. We may do another one later.
