Still got an alarm after cleaning

I have had a tunze 6100 with an intermittent alarm for some weeks. I never could figure it out as I have 4 on my tank plus the wavebox and by the time I would get to the drivers to unplug the alarm would stop.

Yesterday I was close enough to the tank that when it went off I just to it and pulled the pump. I have given it a good cleaning with vinegar and had all parts disassembled and reassembled right down to the lower orange o ring. I threw it in a bucket of water and let it run for awhile. It ran fine for 20 -30 minutes but then an alarm. I put the pump in without the cowl covering and it appears the propeller is freezing to cause the alarm.

Its the older style prop with all the parts, it does seem like the brakes are very loose. Do you think its braking itself at points?

Is there anything for me to try before shipping you the pump? If not do I need an RMA( returned merchandise authorization)? Can you reply with address for shipping too?

Thanks

Gary

If you have clean it as well as you say you have, then I would suspect that the motor block is going bad. Roger is in Germany and isn't able to get online very often, so your best bet is to send everything to me so that I can inspect it all and repair or replace whatever needs to be. You do not need an RMA or anything so you can just send it back to

The repair turn around is about a day so you won't be with out it very long. Please include a note with a brief description of the problem, your return shipping address and a daytime number to reach you at. There is a two year warrant so if it is within the warranty period it will be covered at no cost to you.

Shipped overnight VIA FED X, they expect arrival by noon tomorrow. Please look for it.

I never had one act like this one. On, then off, unplug and then when reengaged it does it again.

I have 5 Tunze streams running on my two tanks, ( six if you count the wavebox ) and have bought and sold several additional. Please let me know what the problem turns out to be.

OK FED EX says its delivered. And they have a squiggle that is suppose to be someone signature! Let me know what the issue is, when you get it on the board.

Thanks

I do apologize but it wasn't until I received your PM that I knew who sent that package. There isn't a name on the letter included just my ending statement

and my signature from my original post to your thread, but after I dug a little I was able to link it to this thread. I apologize as well for not getting back sooner however in Roger's absence there is a lot to do and getting side tracked is very easy. I spent the better part of yesterday afternoon looking through the UPS ship log and all of my paper work looking for your name and couldn't find it. The package was sent from gentleman by the name Pete and your name is found nowhere on or in the package.

I was able to test everything though and you will need and new motor block and impeller. I will try and call you shortly to arrange everything. Again my apologies for taking longer than usual.

I put a letter in the box just before it was being taped up. There was a phone number in my letter and an address,I remember writing those. The shipper was a Mail Copy & More but my online record from FEdEX shows my name in parenthesis?

Does not matter I guess, you can reach me by phone at (817) 788-8671, or PM.

Return shipment goes to:

4600 Westbury Dr.
Colleyville, Texas 76034

Thanks.
