STN fragging advice

This colony is STN from the base....may have had some temperature issues in my tank over the holiday weekend due to the heat.

Where do you guys suggest fragging off the branches? I would assume the farther away from the STN parts would be ideal, but I want to have some nice size frags. What's the ideal distance from the STN areas to frag from? I need some advice before bringing the clippers out!

STN doesnt always need to be fragged. If it was a param swing or problem that is corrected...watch to see if it slows and stops...it could regrow over the recession.

this is my non expert opinion of course.

Thanks, I just noticed this yesterday and I'm keeping an eye on it to see if it progresses. I've only had one other experience with STN and the results of fragging the colony was not successful.

I agree, I have had better luck by correcting the out of whack parameter, than I have my fragging the colony and not checking/fixing the water.

Yeah. I agree with that. Correct the problem first and see if that helps. Often a parameter is not right. That usually helps to stop the problem from my experience.
