a pair of clowns will dominate your entire tank and bully your other fish. i would only go with one. the firefish is fine, IME theyre really good fish and very easy to take care of. have a screen top or eggcrate on your tank so they wont jump, cuz they are jumpers. the 6 line will have to go, they can get very aggressive, especially in a small tank. if you really want a wrasse, you should go with the carpenters flasher wrasse. IME green chromis are great alone. mine gets along fine with all the other fish, but will kill any other green chromis.

for a 30 gallon tank, i would go with 4 or 5 fish.

30g is a little small for a carpenter wrasse. Appropriate wrasses would include any of the Wetmorella species or Pseudocheilinops ataenia.

Eggcrate won't stop a firefish or most wrasses from jumping, something smaller is needed. BRS sells 1/4" clear mesh that works well.

yeah, any of the wrasses that he said will do fine.
