stocking fish

Hi everyone,

I am new to this site as it is always good to get ideas and help from a lot of people rather than just a LFS who may or may not have my best interests in hand. I have a 55g reef tank with LR with the following fish.

Ocellaris clownfish
banggai cardinalfish
bar goby
firefish
6 line wrasse
longnose hawkfish
watchman goby
some kind of small black and blue fish (sorry no name but not a damsel)
1 cleaner shrimp
starfish
6-7 turbo snails ( I think that's their name)
3-4 other cleaner crabs and snails

This past weekend I added the starfish and one coral (they are doing well) but also tried to add a kole yellow eyed tang which died 3 days later as my LFS who I usually trust said it would be ok. he looked healthy and was eating but was dead the next morning so who knows why.

Am I at a limit for fish or is it safe to add another? If so, any ideas or suggestions? The other fish and corals all seem to be doing fine - right now.

Thanks for the input and look forward to being on this site !!

Bit of a small/crowded tank for the tang. Also if you didn't QT, could have now introduced something to the tank. I'd say you are probably at the limit of what the tank can hold.
