Stocking Idea

Putting together a 40 tall. Will be FOWLR. Already run a 180 reef so looking for ideas in a fish only. I do like off the wall stuff but don't want to limit myself to a species tank.

Any ideas will be apreciated will give me a base to start reading up on. Thanks

some filefish and small puffers like the toby are real interesting fish to have in a tank. you could go with a filefish, dwarf lion, small puffer, and another 1 or 2 small fish (not to small to fit int he lions mouth). i think that would make a very interesting display. you could also go with a seahorse and pipefish setup with mandarin/other gentle fish. it really isnt that hard if you can find some specimens eating frozen food. my seahorses eat out of my hand. pipefish just died tho. hope this helps you out a little bit

My understanding is that pipefish and seahorses both require many small feedings throughout the day. I would not be ableto devote the time needed for that as The house is empty for part of the day.

I feed my captive bred seahorse once at night, and have had them since last August. They do fine on a diet of frozen mysis shrimp. For more information, visit seahorse.org. Hope that helped!

What could be safely housed with a dwarf lion?

In a 40 tall that is.


Have looked up alot on horses and the lady likes the idea. Just not sure if I have the experience for them yet. But it is still an idea.

scared of damsels? damsels fit well in aggressive thanks, they are the chromis of the aggressive world.
