As noted, I have a 54 gallon saltwater reef (intended to be anyways and have a couple of mushrooms of some sort). I want to know what options I have number-wise and what you guys would reccommend after getting a clownfish pair? What order would I stock and the timeline?
I personaly think you shouls go FO with a fifty gal tank bc I have a great (slightly overstocked) 60 gal w/ 3 dwarf puffers, a flame angel, a Hoven's wrasse a longnose hawkfish 2 percs and a blue tang who is there temporarily till he fattens up. And I love it the fish fill the tank well and are very active, but if you insist on getting reef I suggest:

Wait till you get a reef. Then you'll realize why people have them
I wouldn't recommend the lionfish or that many chromis in a 54. Unless you heavily quarantine them, they're incredibly susceptible to Uronema and that disease requires a restart. I'd recommend another Cirrhilabrus Wrasse, but keep the amount of fish small, and then add later. IMO, stocking lists seldom ever stay the same.
