Stocking/Overstocking question

I have a 29g thats been up for 3 and a half years, it currently houses 1-clownfish, 3-Small Chromis, 1-royal Gramma, 1-blood shrimp, 1-sea urchin, 2-BTA, 3-porcelain crabs, and a few snails and dwarf hermit crabs, I would like to add one more fish and be done with stocking the tank but wasnt sure if what i had was too much already or if one more would it be alright to add one more so i need a little expert advice on this! :)

I am not an expert, but I would stop there. You might be tempting fate by going for one more.

But if you really want to do it, have you thought about a Cherub Pygmy Angel or Flameback Angel? Both stay small and might fit in well with your current stock. Another possibility is a Bangai Cardinal. 30in length is not a lot of room to stretch out, so I would stick with a fish that stayed 3 inches or less and did not require a good amount of open water.

I would say that you are just about at your limit but its hard to say add more fish without knowing how well you take care of the tank. If you do regular water changes I dont see a problem adding another small fish.

Have you thought about just buying a larger tank?- I hear that Petco is running the 1 per gallon sale, so it might not be a bad time to step up to a 40 gallon and get the "one more fish" that you are craving. With such a small bump in volume, you might get away with just using the same gear that you have now.

You say the chromis are small, how long have you had them? I'm assuming not 3+ years, as chromis can get large, and when they do, they probably won't tolerate one another. 3 full grown chromis would be a large bioload by themselves in that size tank.

I'd remove the chromis and add a few fish better suited to your tank.

I heard about that petco sale , problem is im moving very soon and wouldnt be worth it to set up another tank at the moment but i definitely thought about that, and a dwarf angel like the flame was the exact one i was thinking of! or maybe a six line wrasse. might have to just hold off until i move to get a new setup.

Have only had the chomis a few months, i didnt know that when they grew they have issues getting along, thanks for the heads up.
