Stocking Suggestions

I have a 65 rimless. Current occupants are a kole tang, black clown goby, and a tomato clown (who hasn't become territorial...yet. I know it was dumb not to save her for last).

I'm looking for suggestions for 2 more fish. Wife wants "something pink." Tank is rimless so I can't do jumpy fish like a pseudochromis, etc and I don't want the feeding demands of an anthias (plus, that'd be two big fish and the kole is already stretching it).

Personally, I just want something with a fun personality that won't destroy my mixed reef.

What're your favorite smaller reef fish?

McCoskers fairy wrasse, mystery wrasse, Carpenters fairy wrasse, flame hawk, longnose hawk, candy-cane hogfish, firefish. All cool, all pink/red, all jumpers.

Midas blenny is another great choice, but also a jumper.

Thanks Brett. Yeah, the flame hawk was one that I explored. They had a couple at the LFS and they're really quirky. I love the look of my rimless but it really cramps my stocking style.

I have a rimless and added the BRS mesh kit. I never notice it.

Flame angel might not jump. Those are pretty and pink(ish).

Thanks. I'll check out the mesh kit. It may also encourage me to keep my hands out of the tank so much!

I'm looking at the BRS kit as well.

More for making sure the cat doesn't get any bright ideas.

I told the wife, if the cat jumps up on the tank, it will sleep with the fishes...

When I was in college I had a cat and a 55g freshwater tank. The tank had a glass lid on it. One day I came home and the glass lid was inside the tank, cracked in half, and two wet, bloody paw prints leading away from the tank to a very wet cat hiding in the bathroom. I think each of the two paw prints was 10 feet apart. Fish and cat were all fine, but my forensic reconstruction of the scene leading to the same cat paw laying consecutive prints 10 feet apart was pretty funny.

A few wrasses would be perfect if you put the screen on. Some anthias are also pink. Maybe an orchid dottyback.
