either way bacteria have endospores that make them tolerant to heat, pressure, chemicals, and even radiation. it could definitely happen

i would hav a CBC,O&P,Crypto smear run like RioReefer said, just to rule out the possibility of an infection or parasite! Unless ur water is extremely dirty i feel its most unlikely that your problem could be as a result of your reef tank!

ive heard of people gettin sick from fraggin corals but not anything like that.
