Stop clowns from hosting in finger leather

I have two ocellaris clowns that I have had for a little under a year (got them last Spring) and they recently (the last couple of weeks) have been hosting in my finger leather. I got this leather back around the same time I got the clowns and nothing was wrong. The finger leather used to open up really large and was my best coral by far. Now the coral never opens up and is kept very small by the clowns. Any idea how to stop the clowns from doing this? I added a fake rubber/plastic anemone (that can move with the flow of water so looks and feels sorta real) to the tank last week but the clowns don't go near it. This is all in a 29 gallon tank. I wish I had another tank I could move the finger leather to temporarily, but my 20gal refugium is rather full with macro currently. I would try buying a nice big bubble tip, but winter break from school is coming up and target feeding is one thing I cannot automate and is a bit more involved than refilling the water reserve which I plan to have a friend do a couple of times during break. Since break is about 4 weeks long I don't think that would be good for a new anemone.

Sorry for the algae on the glass making the pictures a bit less clear.

There is a chance that the being closed is the result of something else of course. The plate leather, star polyps, and colt coral in the last picture also have not been doing well recently. Not sure what happened. But I do know that the clowns are still a problem so even if it isn't the entire problem, solving this will help the finger leather a lot.
