I stoped by Tropical Reef today nice place very good selection very very nice pieces! I usto go there when it was jj tropical reef much better selection now hadnt been there for a few years scence the old owner Jim died. The most supprising thing is that they still honor discount cards from when it was owned by the old owners very cool. Nothing like getting 20% off a coral that was a good deal to begin with. Yes its that one he was a little high of some stuff but low on others. He has much more in the way of corals then he did not to long ago. He had some nice mushrooms and had very good prices on them. He had red and purple mushrooms I almost got one but got a neon green hammer. My brother got it for me to thank me for helping him with a job at his house. The shrooms I figured out when I got home were priced at under $4 a polyp for red and purple thats a great price. The hammer I got was $40 and well worth it very very green and nice sized. When we were looking at it in the store it looked very good I thought it might just be the lights it was under. But wow it looked just as good in the bag on the way home! I will agree some thing were threw the roof but not all some very good deals can be found there and very nice pieces.
I stoped by the reef place you said screwed you on the light you want to get and they didnt have it after you called them. Its about 3min. from my house and ill most likely never go there again. They had a med. piece of the rare and beautiful brown button polyps for the bargan price of $56 what a deal lol. The piece wasent a nice piece of brown button to begin with and at the stuck in the store price of $56 I could not help but to point and laugh at it and him.
That was the whole idea of not using the name of the place didnt want to **** off any stores and give NORA a bad name.--------------JJ Tropical Reef had a membership you could join. Now Tropical reef honors the membership from the old owners (very cool I know). I havent had a card for about 6 years when he asked if I was a member at the old owners shop I said yes. But I didnt expect him to just take my word for it ,but he did. Very nice of him I think.
