Stores in area

if you dont want to make a long drive .. the best place in town is prof aquatics rich is an awesome guy who knows his stuf.. im also good friends with mike at mdm when he opens up again he is awesome to deal with also.. so is the critter.. but here in town no doubt prof aquatics hands down..

I think I stopped by Professional Aquatics in Niles and he didn't have a lot of fish or anything... not a big selection.. is that usual for him? Or was I there on an off day?

It would be nice to have a place to go in an emergancy or just looking, without planning a trip to salty Critter....

He will typically get shipments on Thursday, but it is probably best to just ask Rich. Also, nothing seems good after going Salty Critter.

Made a list of the stores (that I could find info on)

Hi Chrissy and welcome to Y-Town, (I'm in Canfield also)
Rich at Professional Aquatics is the best the area has to offer. He gets shipments in on Wensday nights and he usually has guys waiting to see what comes in and it goes fast.
He can order anything for you and is very helpful and knowledgable!
I shop around quiet a bit and the other stores are hit and miss Tropical Pets
Petland
CLub Reef
and i always worry about bringing home some kind of sickness with the critters I'd buy but i still do buy from them on occasion.

When your ready for a road trip salty critter is the place to go if your looking for corals. And since its a 2 hour ride from here I usually plan a whole day and stop and Aquatic Tech also, theres even another place, northcoast aquatics (in the dudes house) that are all within the same area. I have a good driving plan to hit all three on a saturday and could give you the info~
Ordering online works pretty good and I'd be willing to go in on an order with you, it would work out good since your in Canfield and I'm home at 10:30am for the priority overnight fed-ex drop offs.
Let me know if you want to know more

please tell me you did not say Club Reef has questionable quality.
hit+ miss, I'd buy that, but not low quality.

Wet Pets down here in canton is an ok stop as well. prob not worth a special trip but if you were to be in the aria.

Where is club reef? never heard of it...
And Wet Pets? where is that? I work in Canton so that is a easy stop for me.

thanks for all the help

CLub Reef is in Girard on 422 right in the center of town, easy to pass by (and maybe a good idea?) Lets say its worth a stop and look, they usually have a good deal on fish but not much equipment and the corals never impressed me.

OOPS! my bad

OOPS! my bad

OPPS! my bad, its "Sea Quest" thats in Girard on 422 NOT Club Reef!
Sorry Jeff if your reading this!
Jeff is the owner of CLub Reef and he had some great corals growing in his basement, mostly a mail order ebayer on stuff but he fragged some awesome corals. He had a tuff time last summer with the heat and it wiped out a lot of his stock.
I was there in Sep/Oct and picked up a few frags but his stock was really low. Hopefully he got everything on track, he was very pleasant to deal with. And everything (corals) i got from him are doing very well, most of them are over a year old now.
Sea Quest 330-545-5795
call for hours as you never know when they might be closed/open, its on the way to Professional Aquatics so its an easy stop off..
