Hi! My hubby and I have had our little aquariums for about six years. It's my first time participating in a forum... normally we can read enough to figure everything out, but we can't find definite information about a couple of hh that we just got.
We just added a couple of piece of live rock that we got from our lfs (one piece to each tank). One piece has weird dark blobs on it. It is clearly growing or moving. The rock with the blobs on it is now attached to the neighboring rock by one of the blobs. The closest thing I have found to the blobs is liver sponge, but Im not convinced.
On the other piece, there appears to be something that resembles tiny feather duster feathers, but they look almost metallic and sparkle. I know that sounds crazy, and it was much more difficult to get a picture of but I did my best. Its super tiny and instead of having a little tube like the feather dusters do, the little hairs are directly on the rock.
Any help identifying these would be amazing! Thanks in advance!
