Strange Happening

Mixed reef with Clowns, Coris, Blue and Gold shouldered Tangs, Leopard and Striped Wrasse ,Coral Beauty, Chromis...all the usual suspects. Good calm crew.Everyone gets on fine.

Just bought a new Sanrise Plus LED light. (FWIW excellent) and was messing about with the programming a few days after putting it in place. I dont know what I did, but it has 6 channel control from a phone app....1 white, 2 blues, 1 purple, i green, 1 red.

Somehow I suddenly hit the tank with 100% Red channel and all the others zero. No idea how I managed it. The fish went crazy, the wrasse started jumping and the Tangs were charging around like mad things. Lost one Coris wrasse which jumped into the overflow and down the drain where it failed to navigate the ball valve. Rescued a Leopard Wrasse who also got into the overflow but not down the drain. Nobody got out to the floor as I have a netting cover (like the BRS one) but there is a small gap at the weir. I got the situation under control after about 30 seconds by turning the light off... but it was seriously exciting for a while.

So just thought it was interesting enough to report it... they REALLY don't like full on red light. If I had not had the cover on I would have had a group carpet surf.
