Salt Creep
My powerhead (it's old, but works)is sporadically blowing micro bubbles. It is fully submerged. I took it out today and cleaned inside and out. Still every 10-40 seconds it shoots a small burst of micro bubbles out into the tank. Very annoying. The bubbles are sticking to everything. Anyone ever heard of this? I thought maybe cavitation, I don't know.....

How far under water is it? Could have an air bubble in it from the cleaning, or making a little vortex and drawing air from the surface.

I think that the bubbles are coming from the case of the powerhead were air is trapped.(I think thats what mark was talking about also, might be wrong tho)They should go away.

It's the 660 penguin. It's around 2" submerged. It was blowing bubbles before and after cleaning. It looks like it has almost stopped. All the parts look like they are intact. I have new pumps in route, but until then I was just looking for a cure. I think I'll just use it for mixing after the new ones arrive. Thanks for the responses..Mark...err..TJ..Sean....;)
