stray a/c voltage

i have a/c voltage with every thing unplugged i still have 2.5 volts on the meter with all plugged in 11. 5 the problem i have is it trips the gfi in the out let how much is ok any suggestions ?

Salt creep or moisture getting to the gfci and creating a circuit would be my first guess.

Is this on a Concrete or some type of stone ceramic tile?

no it is on carpet

Could be anything. Even a phone charger plugged into a wall and not plugged into the phone has stray Voltage. What kind of meter you using?
