"studio" tank anyone?

hey there. as i started taking underwater photos only this year, i am thinking about buying a better camera and some equipment. to justify this move some more i want to use the camera for some "dry practicing" at home and would like to combine this with the urge to set up a new tank ;)

now my idea is to set up a nano that might be connected to my main 50g tank, designed to be photographed from at least 3 sides and the top. i would like to do mainly makro shots (who would have guessed), so the rockwork and corals would have to be arranged in a way that nothing is hidden. focus would be on shrimps and crabs.

from an UW-photographers point i think the rock should be covered in the most diverse way by different stuff and should look as natural as possible.

does anyone have a similar setup, or any ideas for something like this?

thanks in advance
