Hopefully live sand, live rubble will do it if not ammonia tommorow. I am not doing anymore flake food, or pieces of shrimp rotting and decaying after I spent weeks cleaning the rocks.
Yeah my rocks are brown and a little on the substrate and glass. But before I did the ammonia I was ghost feeding because I wasn't reading an ammonia. The lesson I learned is never use old testing equipment.
Thanks everyone for your help. I am buying a new kit for nitrite tomorrow. I didn't plan on doing anything until the ammonia is at 0. I was mainly concerned about the extremely high nitrates. I am not above saying that I have spent the last year and a half researching and learning as much as possible and I still don't know much. And what I do know, I don't know if it's right. So I guess I really don't know anything at all.
Our Frag swap is on March 18th. You can't really reserve stuff unless you contact the vendors before the show directly and ask them to bring you something special.
