Success with purple cap with yellow polyps?

Hi guys,

Just curious if anyone has had success with this coral. It was available fairly commonly years ago, but haven't seen too many come in recently. I had a piece that didn't make it, not sure why. I was contemplating getting another one, but if nooone has had success with it may pass.

I just never see frags of it for sale anywhere, unlike most other monti caps.

The piece I am referring to is purple/blue base with neon yellow/green polyps and has a capricornis growth pattern.

I believe you are describing a turbinaria. see pic attached

nope, not a turbinaria. Definitely a monti of some sort. I don't know if it's technically a capricornis, but growth form is definately similar. I'll try to post a photo. Just thought folks would know what I"m talking about as they were really popular a few years ago.
