Hi,

I love wrasses but since my aqua was not covered i could not have them. No that i will cover my tank ( a 195 gallons sps tank) i am thinking of introducing 4 or 5 wrasses at the same time. Another reason to have wrasses i to help to fight a planaria plague i am facing. I am searching for wrasses that do not fight that much. so please suggest me 4 or 5 wrasses handsome compatible that will generally not fight.

Thanks

Fairy or flasher wrasses. I would not get a six-line. They are notoriously aggressive and will preclude you from having any other wrasses.

I also like the yellow coris wrasse.

I agree. No sixlines, when they get larger than can get very aggressive. Im a fairy/leopard wrasse fan myself.

Labout's Fairy Wrasse
Blue Star Leopard Wrasse
Pink Margin Fairy Wrasse
Potters Wrasse

You can add to that list most of the Halichoeres species, yellow coris wrasse, dusky wrasse, christmas wrasse, radiant wrasse or melanurus wrasse. Under appreciated family of wrasses that do a great job of controlling pests in the aquarium IMO.

fairys and flashers, are great...but they do nothing for the pests
leopards are usually 'for experts only', with good reason
6 lines (and most 'lined' wrasses) are the kiss of death, avoid at all costs
yellow coris, radiant wrasse or melanurus wrasse should be good for the pests

+1 on the halichoeres wrasses for pest control. But keep in mind that they can go after small snails and ornamental shrimp when they get bigger. Having said that, my yellow coris wrasse decimated my zoa-eating nudibranch population, and doesn't touch my established shrimp.
