I have a few vertical LR faces in my tank that I would like to cover with something. I was thinking zoas, but I don't know how to adhere them to the walls. Maybe someting encrusting, but I wouldn't know how to do that, either.

I really like some of the encrusting montipora I have seen, but I hear that my tank should be older before I try that as it is tricky. I saw some echinopora, too, but don;t know much about it.

Then again, I don;tknow mucvh about corals...........

Thx:)

Thx:) I have used glue, but it seems to me that much of the time it does not hold:( I think I should first glue to rubble and then to the big rocks......... I am afraid that if I glue something sizable to the ledge, it will fall off.

Ive been doing a LOT of this, and asking around.

Here's the best way I found so far. Use putty (aquamend from home depot or the more expensive pink stuff from tunze or deltec)

knead ther putty and make a pancake about 3/8 inch think and as wide as you need.

Then use crazy glue gel to stick the frag/rock/whatever to to the putty. Wont stick immediately, but once tacky then goop the other side of putty with gel and adher to wherever you want. Hold until steady. Support if heavy for 24-48 hours.

You need to clean the area where you want to apply frst w/ a stiff brush.

I have attached big table acros weighting a pound or more like this so far.

Good luck.

When you say it won;t stick immediately, I'm not sure what you mean. Some of the frags I gel stick right away, but others the gel gets solid quickly and it doesn't stick to the rock.

Are you saying it might take a while after solidifying for the gel to really stick? Thx.

Also, anyone have any coral ideas?
