Sulphur for Nitrate reduction

I'm hearing some differing opinions on the use of Sulphur beads to reduce Nitrates.

What are the negatives?

Is it a short term way of getting nitrates down to 0?

Anyone had any experiences with sulphur, either good or bad?

Do a search for sulphur denitrator.

It a tool used for control.If readings are high then he may only lower and not eliminate it. It would be best to cure the cause.Adding anyadditive for unwanted readings should be a last resort. Some tank spevs like size,age,stock,equipment , substrate and LR would help narrow doen the source.
