sump pump issues... what to do???

hey all...

tank is 150...

for the sump return i am using a tunze silent... probably doing about 500-600 gph ..with head pressure....

the way it is setup ...is it goes from pump to Y one portion of y goes to tank return..the other goes to uv sterilizer then to the 2nd tank return...

due to more pressure on the uv sterilizer....i have no flow on that side of the Y...

once concern that i have is if i increase flow in the sump i will have more noise..overflow, plumbing.... i have plenty of flow in the tank with tunze streams...

so my choices are as follows

replumb ...send all flow from tunze silent to uv then go to y and back to tank...not sure if flow will decrease more due to uv back pressure

add second pump like eheim 1260 to handle 1 return with the uv no Y's and 2 pumps then running 1 for each return....

pull the tunze silent and put a mag 12? and then run that with y for both returns and uv???

thoughts? recommendations???

Just put a valve on the the side that goes directly to the tank and cut back that flow some, it will force the water thru the sterilizer. You will drop the over all flow down but I do not think it will be that significant.
