Sump replacement plumbing question

I am replacing my sump and the plumbing and am trying to anticipate any potential issues ahead of time. Currently have 3/4" vinyl tubing for return and the flex pool hose for drains connected to durso pipe in overflow. I am going to replace current 1" bulkheads with 1" slip/slip bulkheads and glue unions and PVC to bulkheads from tank to sump bulkheads for drains and use 1" PVC for returns with a barb fitting so the last foot or so can connect silicone tubing to return pump. The new drains will be the same size and I have 1" PVC glued to the bottom of bulkheads in sump that extend underwater by several inches now and is quiet with few bubbles. My returns are currently 3/4" so I will be going return pump 3/4" tubing to barb fitting to 1" PVC to ball valve to union to bulkhead and into tank. This is a 180 with dual overflows and I run 2 return pumps with one going almost straight up and the other going basically 6 feet. My concern is with the return PVC being 1" instead of 3/4" all the way will I need to make any adjustments in flow? So I guess the only differences are PVC instead of vinyl tubing and ribbed hose and the return line will be 1" most of the way instead of 3/4". Any thoughts and suggestions before I get into this project to make sure it goes smooth and when I crank it back up I don't have flow or noise issues like the sound of running water etc. and do it right the first time instead of trying to fix a plumbing problem after the fact. also how long should I let PVC glue dry before I turn everything back on?
Thanks in advance for suggestions or ideas.
