I would like too ask a question where does the heater go in the sump thank you. Am new to dealing with a sump? Tank was originally marine but iv turned it into a freshwater. Iv had it all set up for 3 days now I do have a heater in the sump but water in sump and main tank feels cold still. But am wondering if I have heater in the wrong compartment.

I keep mine in the fuge area (center compartment on my sump) due to it maintains a steady water level.

Dont put heater vertical. Try to lay down horizontal as if your level of water is low or changing water
and heater pop dry will blow for sure without water. Extremely dangerous.
Many people forgot to switch off heater while changing water and sump also have
many compartments where level is not allways as friends mentioned constant.
