sun coral feeding

i [think] i'm getting my first nps in a few weeks--a small sun coral frag. i just want to make sure i'm clear on what i need to do feeding-wise.
can someone walk me through it:reading:? i really don't want to mess up and hurt on of these guys. thanks!

all i've got at the house for the tank atm is flake food for the clown and some raw, chopped shrimp for the lps....do i need to buy anything else? i'm trying to start out bare-bones to save some cash since i'm in high school, but i don't want to kill anything doing it that way!
