Sun coral pics

In March of last year my sun corals did something similar. Whatever it was, I nearly lost all 3 colonies but they have recovered nicely, and are re-growing well.

Great photos! I just got an orange sun coral yesterday. The polyps are opening up nicely and happily taking pieces of shrimp. I think it might be my favorite coral that I have in the tank. :)

coincidence or part of the equinox?

last Saturday I could observe like some tubastreas started spawning, from what immediately pocket some of them in order to preserve the eggs to take them to the refuge.

Wow! Amazing photos!

Shows me two things: 1. I need a new camera. 2. I need more sun corals! (At least one black and one orange. Strange addiction this is--feels a little bit like Pokémon. Gotta get 'em all.)

Very cool. I have a colony myself. A little more on the green side, whereas yours seems a little more brown.

Very cool though.

Thanks! They're actually a lot blacker than that pic loooks. I have seen the green ones too. My roommate actually just picked a nice little colony up but they haven't started opening regularly to eat. Slowly but surely though!
