Hi, I have a 2" superman, it came with a really good blue red coloration, I got a 175gal with t5s with icecap ballasts and individual reflectors. after 2 weeks I placed the superman on top and in a few days the polyps started to bleach a bit, becoming more orange fluorescent like and then orange pale.
So I decided to move it about 3.5" down, and it started to recover its colors a bit, but then my Icecap ballast failed, and it took 5 days to replace it, meanwhile I only had the actinics on.
So then I placed a new Icecap ballast, and continued with the same photoperiod but the superman is now retracting its polyps, so I decided to put it on the bottom just to see what happens.
But I don´t know what´s going on, I want it back to its original look, but it is seriously the most delicate coral I have.
I also have a rainbow monti and a sunset monti and they are perfectly fine with colorful polyps and very open.
