Support Structure for Liverocks

I am setting up a 90gal tank and thinking about building a support structure for the liverocks. I have heard people using eggcrate or PVC. Can someone show me how they have theirs setup.

I dont have a pic here at work, but most people just build a basic pvc structure smaller than the rock work they desire (think square when building for support). Then they zip tie the LR to it, and let it grow in. In less than a 6 months the zip ties are all hidden and you have a nice structure to look at.

Will it be okay to just use eggcrate for support instead of putting the LR directly on the glass?

Sure why not.

Just make sure to zip tie 2 sheets of the eggcrate..

Do you mean zip tie one eggcrate on top of another one? If so, may I ask why I need 2 layer?

Yes, and with 2 it will give better strength+support. ..btw do you own a Viper?
