Surface Nastiness

QUESTION?!?!?!

Since about 2 weeks ago when I installed my new aqua c remora with the surface skimming box, I have noticed a nice sludge on the surface of the tank water. I have 2 powerheads breaking the surface and It still seems to be getting worse. Now there are small pcs of "stuff" floating on the surface.

Any Ideas or suggestions as to what is causing this and how I can fix it?

Its because you have nothing skimming the surface. The powerheads only help in breaking it up.

well I've not had this problem for the first year or so, And the remora skimmer is skimming the surface with the surface skimmer box.

Can you position the flow so it blows the crud towards the surface skimmer so it can be taken out by the skimmer? Blowing the surface is merely mixing it back in the tank water.
