SWC 160 Pump Not Working

My 3 month old SWC 160 skimmer will not restart since I shut it down for a water change. THis has happened a few times but I just kept unplugging it and plugging it in and it would work finally. I've tried this probably 40 times but it still won't work. Any Ideas to try or do I need to contact the manufacturer?

plug it in and try tapping it a little the propeller might be stuck

Is it making any noise at all or just silent?
If silent take the pump apart and soak the impeller in vinegar overnight.
This worked on my 160 pump.

Same thing happened to me after 8 months. Ended up buying a new pump for 50 bucks. If it happens again, I'm looking for a different skimmer.

I have the same skimmer and today after 4 to 6 months now after a water change it wouldnt come back on. So I took it apart and cleaned and it still wouldnt come back on.. I also unplugged and plugged a few times and the thing finally started... Now its making a sussssssssing type noise.. Any Ideas why this happened and what I and we can do to fix this problem? I will email the company and Ill post there answer here if the answer....

this is what worries me about buying the swc 120 or 160 for my 40 breeder. Will the pumps hold up. These skimmers get great reviews but the pumps seem to stink.
