sweeper tenticles

i have had a hammer coral for over a year in the same spot and all of a sudden it always has some sweepers out the closest coral is about 5" away and the hammer is about 8" around when fully out any ideas woul help me thanks

Anything other coral "come of age"and growing near it? Or new addition recently placed near?

nothing at all how much distance you think you need for an 8" hammer

Has your flow changed at all? I think I remember reading that sometimes flow can influence sweepers. Just a thought, good luck!
