For those of you in the Sarasota area that want to head to Fort Myers for the SWFMAS meeting, below is the post from our forum.
Our July meeting will be Saturday, July 20 at the Estero Community Center from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

Continuum Aquatics was started in 2012 by Jack Kent, a long time aquarium products manufacturer, inventor, aquarium hobbyist and engineer. Presentation: Title: Alkalinity & pH - how do they relate to each other?
Jack will give a presentation that discusses such misunderstood terms as Alkalinity, pH, hardness, carbonate hardness, buffer, dKH, Meq/l, TDS, and ppm. He will discuss how pH and Alkalinity relate to each other and why itis critical to understand the relationship. He will also discuss buffering and what it actually is. If time permits and if hobbyists are interested, we may also discuss calcium and magnesium and how they relate to each otherin a marine reef.
