Syncing two Vortec's?

Do you need a reef link to sync to pumps? and does anyone know how it works? I have a MP40 and MP10 on one tank. Should I not worry about having them work with eachother?

They have to be the W ones to sync so if the w is lit up on the controlled you will be able to sync

I'm not sure how often you have your hands in the tank, but couldn't you just move one or the other two inches to the left or the right each time? Natural wave maker...

Its not necessary, but can be nice to have them synced. Its $45 for the rf chip. Each vortech has to have one to work. However if you have a 40 and a 10, id probably just put the 40 on one side and the 10 on the back if the tank is 4' or less. If its bigger you should probably get another 40.
